In my first post, I want to explain why I feel this is so important. I will go out on a limb and estimate that between 80-90% of Americans are financially illiterate, meaning they are irresponsible, misinformed, or just plain clueless when it comes to personal finance. Many of them are so wrapped up in debt that they are trapped for life; prisoners to their monthly payments and slaves to their paycheck every week. Then there are many more who don’t seem to have any money left to save by the end of the week. I’m guessing you do not want to be like them, as you are on this site. This site will give away loads of great information about everything possible to do with making and being smart with money at a young age. The earlier a person becomes financially responsible, the more time they will have to enjoy life and not be a slave to money. Whatever you want to do in life, make sure being money-smart is a part of it.
