Who in the right mind would want to go back to summer freshman orientation for a second, third, or even fourth time? Well, any college student who wants some quick cash should consider it. At Simpson, the students who are hired to be “destination leaders”, as they are called, make a few hundred bucks for 4 days of showing freshman around campus and helping them get acquainted (I believe it is around $350). On top of that, 3 meals a day and your dorm room are free of charge. That’s how they do it here, but I’m sure there are many more schools that offer similar opportunities to students. That doesn’t sound like a bad way to earn some easy summer money.
