I’d like to take this opportunity to give a little recognition to an excellent newer blog that’s working to establish itself in the personal finance blogosphere. Aaron and Lindsay over at Where You Are Now write some really good stuff, and you should definitely check them out.

They’ve recently released an e-book that I’d like to help spread the word on. It’s entitled Financial Principles That Work– Your Finances are a Journey: Do you have a map? It can be found here.

I love the subtitle. Few people take off on a vacation without having spent the time beforehand to map out how it’s going to go down. They know exactly where their destination is, how they plan to get there, and what they will do upon arrival. This is good; with the exception of spontaneous road-trips, it’s a pretty good idea to spend the time planning for these things.

For all the time and effort people spend on planning their vacations, isn’t it pathetic how many of these same people spend more time preparing for a weeklong getaway than their financial goals and aspirations? What a terrible paradox. Wandering through life without a financial game-plan is a sure-fire way to ensure you don’t obtain financial abundance. Aaron and Lindsay’s e-book gives you some guiding principles that can be used to construct a fail-proof financial road-map that’s necessary to arrive wherever it is that you want to go.

Nothing contained within this e-book is very complicated stuff, but it’s fundamentally vital material that sadly very few people actually adhere too. If more people would live with a focused financial plan, our collective financial state of affairs would be infinitely better than where we are now. It should be mandatory for everybody to receive this crucial information at a young age. Unfortunately that’s not going to happen anytime soon, but each and every person we can steer in the right direction is a huge victory.

I highly recommend you mosey on over to Where You Are Now and see what the Aiken’s have to offer.
